Specialty

The work that gets covered up the day after we finish it

Radiant floor heating, ductless mini splits, gas piping, dryer vent cleaning and inspections. The jobs that either disappear under a slab or hang on a wall where anyone can see whether they were done right.

Chapter 01

Radiant floor, from slab to manifold

Radiant tubing gets stapled in continuous back and forth loops across insulation board while the slab is still open. Loop spacing and the return path get decided that day, because it is the last day either one can change. Once the concrete is poured, whatever was set into it is permanent.

Every loop lands on the manifold, labelled and balanced, with flow meters where somebody can actually read them. That is what lets a zone that runs cold ten winters from now get found in a minute instead of guessed at, and it is why we treat the manifold as part of the install rather than an afterthought bolted on once the tubing is down.

Mini splits where there is no duct to run

A ductless mini split is the answer when a room, an addition or an outbuilding has no duct to run and no reasonable way to make one. We are a Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor, a certification Mitsubishi Electric puts on contractors it trains and stands behind directly, which is why a mini split here is a normal week rather than a special order handed off to someone else.

The install is the same discipline as any other system: the indoor and outdoor units get matched, the line set gets run clean, and the condenser gets mounted somewhere it can actually breathe, not wherever was easiest to reach.

Chapter 03

Gas piping and dryer vent cleaning, the small jobs that are safety jobs

Gas piping does not get a second chance the way a lot of HVAC work does. A line that is undersized, run wrong, or fitted poorly is not a comfort problem, it is a safety problem, and we size and run it the same way whether it is feeding a furnace, a boiler or a unit heater.

Dryer vent cleaning gets treated with the same seriousness for the same reason. A blocked vent is one of the more common causes of a house fire that nobody sees coming, and clearing it properly means the full run, not just what is reachable from behind the machine.

Furnace, AC and HVAC inspection before it becomes a repair

A furnace and AC inspection or a general HVAC inspection is where we catch the small thing before it becomes the emergency call. We check the electrical, the coil and the charge on the cooling side, and the heat exchanger and venting on the heating side, and we tell you plainly what we found rather than what would be easiest to sell.

It is the same standard we hold every job to. One of our customers had an air to air heat pump installed and wrote that Levi and Corey stayed afterward to walk her through the new thermostat so she actually understood the equipment, and that is the finish line on a specialty job the same as it is on any other.
